HEALING WITH ART:  QUESTBOARD

“Art can permeate the very deepest part of us, where no words exist.”
― Eileen Miller

Though QuestBoard can be used in a number of fun ways for the whole family, including strengthening the creative part of the brain, it can also serve as a tool for art therapy. The benefit is the person receiving therapy can use QuestBoard between sessions and continue the advancement of healing in the comfort of their home.

Art Therapy is gaining popularity as a successful method for cognitive behavioral therapy, especially for those who find it difficult to express their feelings, such as the youth. It is a technique stemming from the idea that creative expression can cultivate emotional healing and mental well-being. It is believed that art, either the creation or viewing of it, is used to help people explore their emotions, develop self-awareness, cope with stress, boost self-esteem, and improve social skills.

QuestBoard is the perfect tool for art therapists to use during a session while also allowing their patient to continue the healing process at home. This allows a more holistic approach, where the individual can better cope between therapy sessions.

The use of QuestBoard for creativity or art integration is not a substitute for therapy.  It is a way for one to facilitate the transmutation or merging of deep experiences with creativity and may be used as a tool in conjunction with therapy. Please seek the support of a mental healthcare professional if you are needing therapy.
